Erik Larson DPT

Erik Larson DPT
DPT, OwnerErik Larson, DPT is committed to providing the best quality of care for his patients. As clinic owner and director, his goal is for the team to not only meet their patients’ expectations, but exceed them. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences in 2008 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from the College of St. Scholastica. Following his education, he worked in and managed a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, sub-acute rehab and outpatient physical therapy clinics.
Erik is a native of Washburn County, and he enjoys the challenge of exploring and learning new ways to better meet our community’s needs. Erik hold experience in a vast amount of treatment specializations including specializes in sports medicine, orthopedics, pediatric rehabilitation, dry needling, spinal care and aquatic therapy. Co-Owner/ Speech Language Pathologist/ Business ManagerDanielle grew up in the Spooner and Hayward communities, is married to co-owner, Erik Larson and has 4 children. She is actively involved in the Spooner Police Foundation, Spooner Area Youth Hockey Association and recently became a community committee member of the Washburn County Aging and Disability Resource Center to actively promote and advocate for the 65+ population in Washburn County.
Danielle attended the University of MN-Duluth and graduated with her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2012 and enjoys treating a wide variety of ages and disorders to include: swallowing disorders, aphasia, traumatic brain injuries, language, and voice disturbances such as those seen in Parkinson’s Disease. Danielle holds certifications in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for Parkinson’s Disease and the Beckman Oral Motor program in order to offer a wide variety of treatment methods to her speech patients.
In June 2020, Danielle became a full-time member of the Spooner and Hayward Physical Therapy & Wellness team and has since taken on the many roles of a business manager, working alongside her husband, Erik as well as remaining active by seeing speech language pathology patients.

Doctor of Physical TherapyAdam Barg, DPT grew up in Ladysmith, WI and attended UW-Stevens Point for his undergraduate degree in Health Science. He graduated in the Spring of 2019 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Concordia University Wisconsin. Professionally, he has special interests in shoulder injuries, postural restoration, concussions, and sports orthopedics. Adam chose Physical Therapy because he loves working directly with individuals in order to give them the tools they need to help them move as pain free as possible and improve overall function.

Board-certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical TherapyJessica Stotz, DPT is passionate about partnering with individuals in their pursuit of whole wellness. She particularly enjoys developing open communication with her clients in order to help them learn how to optimize their health and mobility. She attended Andrews University, where she received her Bachelor of Health Science degree summa cum laude in 2012, followed by her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2014. She went on to achieve board certification as a clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities in 2019.
As a native of Frederic, Wisconsin, Jessica is excited to be back in the Northwoods after her practice as a travel PT led her to numerous clinics across the country, affording her the opportunity to garner a wide variety of experiences and expertise. She has extensive experience in a myriad of conditions, including post-surgical, sprains & strains, arthritis, post-amputation, vestibular issues, and worker’s compensation claims. She especially enjoys treating neck and back pain, headaches, foot & ankle issues, and chronic pain management, as well as providing specialized hands-on techniques including instrument-assisted mobilization.
When she isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys backpacking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, and amateur musicianship. After a year as a volunteer missionary in Kenya, she caught the travel bug and is always open to conversation about where to visit next!

School Physical Therapist AssistantLane joined us in June as our PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant). He graduated from Lake Superior College in May of 2022. Lane is happily married with 6 children. He also enjoys the outdoors, exercising in many different forms, and is motivated to put a lot of effort into staying healthy. Lane really enjoys helping others to improve their life so they are able to get back to what they like to do.
We are very fortunate to have him as a part of our team and physical therapy family. If you are ever in either of our clinics; Hayward or Spooner, be sure to say a big Hello!

Physical TherapistI am originally from New Ulm, MN. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota Morris. I then completed my physical therapy studies at Concordia University Wisconsin. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and son, Kelci and Oliver. Our family will soon be expanding as we are expecting our second child in June. Some of my interests include hiking, running, weight lifting, playing board games and reading.

I grew up in the La Crosse area, attended college at UW-Richland and have recently moved to the Hayward area after living in Madison, WI for 8 years. I previously worked as a Preschool Teacher and decided to change career paths. I’m excited to further my career with Spooner and Hayward Physical Therapy & Wellness and get to know all the patients. In my free time I love to garden, read and spend time with friends and family.
